Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakesh or Casablanca

Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival at Marrakesh or Casablanca airport, you will be greeted by your personal English-speaking driver and guide from MoroccoThisWay. Private transfer to your luxury hotel or riad with breakfast. Sea-view rooms are available upon request.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat

  • Morning city tour of Casablanca, visiting:
    • Mohammed V Square
    • Hassan II Mosque (optional visit)
    • Habous neighborhood
  • Drive to Rabat, Morocco’s capital city. Overnight stay in one of Rabat’s most beautiful riads with breakfast.

Day 3: Rabat – Chefchaouen

  • Visit Rabat’s highlights:
    • Royal Palace District (Mechouar)
    • Chellah Necropolis
    • Hassan Tower & Mausoleum of Mohammed V
    • Kasbah of the Oudayas
  • Drive towards Chefchaouen via the Rif Mountains, stopping in Tetouan for a guided tour.
  • Overnight in a traditional riad or luxury hotel in Chefchaouen with breakfast.

Day 4: Chefchaouen – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez

  • Morning visit to the blue-painted streets of Chefchaouen.
  • Drive to Meknes, explore:
    • Bab El Mansour
    • El Hedim Square
    • Moulay Ismail Mausoleum
  • Visit Volubilis, Morocco’s best-preserved Roman ruins (guided tour).
  • Continue to Fez. Overnight in a riad with breakfast.

Day 5: Fez – Full-Day Exploration

  • Guided tour of Morocco’s oldest imperial city, including:
    • Medersa Attarine
    • Nejjarine Square & Mosaic Fountain
    • Fez El Jadid & Royal Palace (exterior visit)
    • Old Mellah (Jewish Quarter)

Day 6: Fez – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

  • Drive through Ifrane (Moroccan Switzerland) and Azrou cedar forest.
  • Stop in Midelt at the foot of the Djebel El Ayachi mountains.
  • Cross the Ziz Valley and arrive in Erfoud, the gateway to the Sahara.
  • 4×4 transfer to Merzouga luxury desert camp with private facilities.
  • Dinner and overnight under the stars.

Day 7: Merzouga – Rissani – Tinghir – Dades Gorges

  • Optional camel trek at sunrise in the Sahara.
  • Visit Rissani, including:
    • 17th-century Ksar of Moulay Ismail
    • Mausoleum of Ali Chérif (Alaouite dynasty founder)
  • Drive to Todra Gorges, famous for its 140-meter cliffs.
  • Continue to Dades Gorges, with overnight stay in a riad with dinner & breakfast.

Day 8: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate

  • Enjoy scenic drives and optional short hikes in the Dades Valley.
  • Arrive in Ouarzazate, Morocco’s film capital. Optional visit to Atlas Film Studios.
  • Overnight in a riad with breakfast.

Day 9: Ouarzazate – Aït Benhaddou – Marrakesh

  • Visit the UNESCO-listed Aït Benhaddou, a historic ksar.
  • Drive over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m) to Marrakesh.
  • Overnight in a luxury riad with breakfast.

Day 10: Marrakesh – Full-Day Exploration
