Day 1

Marrakech

You will be picked up at the airport by your personal English speaking driver guide or tour leader. He will accompany you to your accommodation hotel or riad depending on your wishes.

Day 2

Marrakech

You will spend the whole day in the old royal city of Marrakech, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs from the 16th century. You will visit the Bahia Palace, seat of the great vizier Ba Ahmed, then the gardens and the Menara water basin. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the famous craziest square of Jamaa el Fnaa, the beating heart of Marrakech, visit the numerous souks and bazaars.

Day 3

Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Zagora – Lamhamid

Early departure in the Land Rover towards Ouarzazate, the great gateway to the south. You cross the High Atlas with the highest pass in Morocco, the Tizn Tichka 2260 mtr. Continue your journey and later visit the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, the setting for many famous films such as Sodom and Gomorah, Gladiator…
We continue along the Draa Valley on the Tansikht track to Zagora. Continue to Lamhamide near the sand dunes of Chegaga.
Dinner and overnight in a tent.

Day 4

Zagora – Tazzarine – Alnif – Erfoud – Merzouga

Continue early in the morning towards Erfoud via Tansikht and N’ kob. Pass the palm grove of Mellal, then Tazzarine along beautiful villages to Jbel Tizouguirene. Towards Alnif along an extensive stone landscape also called Regg.
Lunch in Tazzarine or Alnif. In the afternoon continue via Rissani to the Merzouga desert.

Dinner and overnight stay in a tent.

Day 5

Merzouga – Erfoud – Tinerhir

After breakfast, departure towards Tinghir, famous for its palm groves. In the afternoon, visit the Todra Gorge, natural rock formations up to 300 m high. It also provides a backdrop for many films.
Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6

Tinrghir – Boutegrar – Skoura – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, continue your journey towards Ouarzazate. The journey is your destination, along the 150 km long Dades Valley with the High Atlas and the Anti Atlas in the background. You can admire the houses built into the rock. You reach Ouarzazate via the track from Boutegrar to Skoura.
In the afternoon you visit Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7

Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Continue to Marrakech over the Tizn Tichka pass, the highest in the country, which can be covered in snow in winter.
The afternoon is at your leisure
for dinner and overnight stay.
