Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Agadir. Travel through the scenic landscapes of Taznakht and Taliouine before reaching the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Explore the Ksar’s historic streets and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” to visit the iconic Atlas Cinema Studios and the Taourirte Kasbah. The day concludes with a drive to Zagora, where a cozy guesthouse or hotel awaits, complete with dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.
Day 2: Zagora to Chegaga via Tamgroute and Off-Road Adventure
After breakfast, set off for M’hamid, stopping in Tamgroute to visit the Koranic library, explore the underground kasbah, and see traditional pottery workshops. Journey through the lush Draa Valley, passing the oasis of Ouled Brahim and pausing for lunch amidst the dunes of Erg Lihoudi. For those seeking extra adventure, opt for a camel ride in the golden sands. Continue your journey with a 64 km off-road drive to reach the towering dunes of Chegaga (up to 300m high). Spend the evening in a traditional Berber desert camp, enjoying a delicious dinner and stargazing under the vast Sahara sky.
Day 3: Chegaga Back to Agadir via Taznakht and Taroudant
Start the day with breakfast before venturing off-road through the mesmerizing landscapes of Erg Chegaga and Lake Iriki. Pass through Foum Zguid and visit the cooperative carpet workshops in Taznakht. After lunch, make your way back to Agadir via Taliouine. The scenic return journey, enriched with cultural and natural highlights, ensures an unforgettable conclusion to your Sahara adventure. Expect to arrive in Agadir by late evening.
